Beer or Wine; The Age-Old Question
When visiting the Ashland area you will often find the varieties of locally crafted beers and micro-brews, as well as the local wines have a life of their own. With a total of four wineries and three brewers, there is a growing population of dedicated craftsmen of this ancient and wonderful skill within the city of beautiful Ashland. But let us focus on the great drink most of us enjoy and is as old as the ancient Pharaohs; beer.
Standing Stone, Caldera Brewing(2005) and The Growler Guys(1994) have been leading the way on the beer crafting since the mid 90’s before craft beer was considered interesting or a worthwhile pursuit. While choosing to use up to 85% of their ingredients as ‘local and organic’, all three of our brilliant breweries have a ‘sustainable and clean’ attitude towards their businesses and crafting their brews.

The Ashland breweries give a large selection of local brews to choose from. With an extensive selection of IPA brews from Growler guys, a few decadent stouts at Standing Stone, and several delicious amber ales from Caldera Brewery, there is always a great brew to choose. No matter what your favorite beer might be, the Ashland area is sure to have something to tickle your fancy, again and again.
Whether it’s a pale amber with light, citrus aftertaste or a dark, thicker lager with caramel sweetness that gently calls you in for another drink; there is something for everyone at any of the talented, informational and truly down-to-earth companies.
