Chicken Piccata

Dinner for Two?

Chicken Piccata is the perfect dish to impress your friends with a limited range of ingredients. A light savory dish, topped with anesthetic cream sauce that is guaranteed to melt in your mouth. This dish is perfect for dinner parties, or even a romantic home cooked meal with your partner. There is nothing more attractive than an individual that can cook.

Ingredients: 

  • Chicken breasts
  • Corn flour or flour
  • butter
  • Salt and Pepper
  • Lemon
  • Heavy Cream
  • Parsley
  • Garlic
  • Shallots or purple onion
  • Mushrooms
  • Capers 
  • White wine

Recipe:

Chicken Preparation:

Step 1: Trim and butterfly your chicken breasts.

Step 2: Lightly salt and pepper chicken breasts.

Step 3: Lightly coat chicken breasts in corn flour.

Step 4: Heat medium saucepan with butter over medium heat.

Step 5: Cook chicken to 165 degrees fahrenheit.

Sauce Preparation:

Step 1: Place pinch of garlic, 2 oz of capers, and 2 oz of shallots into medium saucepan with butter and S&P.

Step 2: Saute until shallots are translucent.

Step 3: Pour 2 oz of white wine to deglaze and squeeze one half a lemon into pan.  

Step 4: Add 3 oz of mushroom with other ingredients.  

Step 5: Add 2 cups of Heavy cream into pan and reduce by 30%.

Step 6: Remove from heat and whisk in 4 Tablespoons of sliced cold butter.

Step 7: Finely chop half a head of parsley and add to sauce.

Step 8: Apply sauce liberally over chicken piccata for beautiful presentation. 

Recommended Side Dishes:
